Q: What/who got you to start playing golf?

A. My Dad would take me out to the course with him when he started to play golf and I would follow along with my set of 5 clubs and hit a few shots with him.  I usually liked driving the cart more than actually playing.

Q: What is your best memory with the Scots’ golf team?

A. There are too many to really just mention one, but the memory that stands out is when we got to play Harbour Town my sophomore year in Hilton Head That was awesome.  It was really great to play a course where the PGA tour hosted a tournament a few weeks after we were there with grand stands set up and the course in great shape too.

Q: What’s your favorite tradition of the Scots' golf team?

A. The Sea Island trip is always a blast.  It is our first tournament of the spring and we usually go there in mid-February, play an awesome tournament, eat great pizza, participate in some shenanigans on a long but interesting car ride down, and enjoy a long weekend almost like an early spring break

Q: If you had to compare head golf coach Jack Belote to one cartoon character, who would it be and why?

A. Coach Belote is most like the Tasmanian devil.  To see this in action just watch him play intramural basketball or do some work in the gym.  #gainz

Q: What is the most important thing you have learned during your four years at Covenant?

A. How to perfect a good lay.

Q: If you had to compare your golf game to one core class at Covenant, which would it be and why?

A. CHOW or Doctrine, because watching my golf game is like taking a Dr. Dennison class: you never know what could come next.

Q: Who is your favorite professional golfer?

A. Definitely Jordan Spieth; first because I remember him playing in a PGA tournament when he was 16 and almost winning it, second because his wedge game is unbelievable, which is probably my favorite aspect of golf, and third because he is my age a just a straight stud (and hopefully when this article comes out he will have won the Masters)

Q: What is something about you that most people don’t know?

A. I model my life after Spike Albrecht, arguably the best point guard in college basketball

Q: If you had to pick a theme song for the 2014-2015 men’s golf team what

song would you pick and why?

A. Chocolate Legs by Eric Benet, if you want to know why you can ask Scott McKnight
